Jai Bharathi is riding across 20 cities on her bike to encourage more women to learn driving, be self reliant, and use this skill to earn a livelihood.

An architect and an avid biker, Jai set out on the Moving Boundaries campaign on October 11 with a simple aim: that of creating awareness and encouraging women to learn driving to increase their employability.

A drone they have christened the ‘seedcopter’ dispersed 1.5 lakh spheres over the KBR National Park in Hyderabad. ** TN students bag top honours in global business competition

Sarvadh Sathiaram, a class 11 student from Akshar Arbol International School, Chennai was placed first in the global top 20 individual awards which was based on the aggregated scores of the modules of the competition.

Max Meynecke, a student of Kodai International School was placed eleventh and Ayush Samuel Kumar, a class 12 student of Akshar Arbol International School was placed 18th. They all received special certificates.

** IMF Chief Economist Gita Gopinath to leave job and return to Harvard University

She had joined the IMF as the Chief Economist in January 2019

IMF’s Chief Economist Gita Gopinath will leave her job in January next year and return to the prestigious Harvard University, according to the global financial institution.

The 49-year-old prominent Indian-American economist had joined the International Monetary Fund (IMF) as the Chief Economist in January 2019.

She was the John Zwaanstra Professor of International Studies and Economics at Harvard University when she joined the Washington-based global lender.

Mysuru-born Gopinath is the first-ever woman Chief Economist of the IMF.
